All about BOWS.....my Valentino Delight!!

I finally have time to update my blog!! So, I'm going to continue sharing with you my new shoe purchases. This time.....it's about BOWS!

I have been paying attention to Valentino for quite a while. I especially love their signature bows on the shoes and also their romantic and feminine "Petale" bags. I don't own any Valentino bags yet.....but I'll buy one when the right time comes (Chanel and Hermes first....LOL!!)

So, here you go!

1st Pair:
Black Cut-Out Leather/Mesh Peep-toe Pumps with Patent platform and heels

This pair is the only pair I bought with the signature bow. But I'm loving the cut-out pattern very much....and the soft leather + mesh are really nicely made.

The heels, platform and rims are made with shiny patent leather, making a great contrast against the matte leather+mesh cutout.

Quick modeling pix.....(sorry for the yellowish lighting since it's already very dark outside)

2nd Pair: Patent Dark Fuchsia/Magenta Ballerina Flats with Bow

This was taken with flash....

Loving the big ruched bow in front......so cute!! And not to mention the rich yummy dark fuchsia/magenta color......

And some quick modeling pix....

3rd Pair: Patent Fuchsia "Couture" Peep-toe Slingback with 3D Bow

Really love how special the 3D bow is.....

This fuchsia color is a nice pop to any neutral outfit.....imagine wearing it with a Little Black Dress.......or even grayish outfit with jeans......

Some quick modeling pix....

4th Pair: Patent "Mud color" Peep-toe wooden platform Slingback with slanted Bow and wooden chunky heels

Love this special "dark taupish-gray" neutral color very much. Valentino calls it "Mud" color. It was dark indoor when taking the pictures here....I think the color looks even more stunning when wearing it under daylight. The pictures here don't do the color justice....:P

And again, anything wooden heels is my weak spot...hehehehehe! Even though the heels are quite high, they are amazingly comfortable.

The bow is "slanted" which made this pair of shoes even more special....

Some quick modeling pix...

Last but not least.....a "family portrait" of my 4 new pairs of Valentino shoes.....

This picture was taken with flash.....

Without flash....

Hope you enjoy the eye candies!

I PASSED I PASSED!!! YAY!!!

I'm toooooo excited now! The typhoon no. 8 yesterday night was lowered to typhoon no. 1 this morning. So, my driving exam is still ON!

Well, it was still raining hard this morning, so I'm a bit worried if I can handle the exam.....

Anyway, to keep the story short, I PASSED!!! YAY!!! I will get my real driver's license this afternoon! It's valid for 10 years! Yay!! I can't help but I kept grinning! LOL!!

You know, I've worked on this driving exam since November 2008. I had my written exam in December, my mid-term exam in March (which is about parking, 3-point turn and stopping at upward hills), and my final road exam this morning. So, after 9 months of hard work, FINALLY! I GOT MY DRIVER'S LICENSE!!

Now, I can take my son to school myself and no need to take a taxi! I'm so happy! Hehehehehe!

Just want to share my good news with you. Thank you all for your blessings!

Cheers,
Mia

My new Marni and Chanels.....with modeling pix!

It has been 2 weeks since I last wrote on my blog. Sorry about being "MIA" (Missing In Action) coz I have actually been sick with flu and just recovered. The weather here is too hot and it's our rain season. Very easy to catch a cold! Good that it's not the H1N1....!! I've also been so busy preparing for my driving final road exam tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow is my "BIG DAY"! Well, we are having typhoon no. 3 right now and it's raining cats and dogs. If tomorrow morning is typhoon no. 8, then my driving exam will be canceled. Oh well, hope not as I've prepared for it very hard. Wish me luck!!

Since it was a bright sunny day last Sunday, my husband proposed to take some pictures of my ODJ. Well, I wore my new pair of Marni shoes (not the one I have blogged about last time) which I got on sale at Lane Crawford (around US$400+). It's super comfortable and I fell in love with them instantly when I tried them on! I wasn't planning to buy this pair at first, but the SA kept on asking me to try....so I caved in! How easy it is to tempt me! Hahahahaha!

So here's my new pair of Marni platform sandals...

I love anything gray or taupe or beige color, so naturally I fell in love with these sandals. I love the vertical details on the taupe grosgrain material and how the straps were "arranged".

I love the fact that the platform was made of leather and in a different camel-like color for contrast...

And here are some modeling pix of my shoes.....(will show the entire outfit later)

Here's my ODJ last Sunday:

DRESS:

Multicolor floral maxi dress
(Bread n Butter - a Japanese inspired local brand)

BLAZER:

Washed light denim biker jacket (Zara)
BAG:
SS09 "CC Button" collection Pink Wallet on Chain with special button logo (Chanel)

SHOES:

Taupe/Black/Camel strappy platform grosgrain sandals (Marni)

ACCESSORIES:

(1) Necklace: SS09 "Elegance" collection ivory oval pendant with crystals (Chanel)
(2) Earrings: SS09 "Elegance" collection ivory oval dangling earrings with crystals (Chanel)
(3) Sunglasses: Deep violet "5154" sunglasses with CC logo at frame corner and mustard/camel temples (Chanel)

I haven't worn maxi dresses in ages (I used to have lots of them when I was younger) but I'm feeling the dress all over again. Maybe it's because of the sunny weather...hehe.

I am wearing my Chanel pink WOC cross-body in messenger style...

My pink WOC can also be worn as a shoulder bag with long single chain (you can adjust the chains freely to make the length work for your height). This WOC is so versatile because you can also double up the chains to make it as a hand-held or short shoulder bag, or you can hide the chain to make it as a wallet or clutch. Love it!

Here are some close-up pictures of my outfit and accessories...

I'm loving the distressed look of this denim biker jacket from Zara

Love the details of this pair of earrings and necklace which are from the same SS09 "Elegance" collection (they are not really newly bought...I bought them in April which I have done a reveal thread for them in April at the Purse Forum). Actually, my first impression of this collection is that they have to be worn with more formal clothing like cocktail dress or suits. However, I think in reality, it's not really the case. They can be worn casually too with jeans!!

This is a new pair of Chanel sunnies that I bought recently. I love that the CC logo is, for the first time, placed at the front frame at the brow area (not at the temples on the side), and the front is delicately shaped into a camellia (well, hard to imagine but that's the "concept" of this pair of sunnies). And the most I love is the deep rich violet frame color matching the camel/mustard color temples. Love the color contrast and matches with the color theme of my dress and shoes! There are lots of colors available for this 5154 style, but I love this color combo the most. So hard to find! My friend helped me buy it from Paris!

Some close-up modeling pix of my new pair of 5154 Chanel sunglasses..

And of course, close-up pictures of my pink "CC Button" WOC....love the special button logo design! This is not a new buy...bought it in April as well...

Hope you enjoy the pictures! Wish me luck tomorrow!!

Another batch of new shoes from........

Salvatore Ferragamo!
It has been quite a while since I bought a pair of Ferragamo shoes. The last pair I bought was way back in 2006 when I was in Milan. Ferragamo shoes had been my work shoes ever since I started to work. Yup, they are boring, but they are formal and comfortable enough for work, that's why I bought them. So where are all my Ferragamo shoes now? Haha.....all gone after I gave birth as they don't fit anymore because my feet are now 1.5 sizes bigger than before I gave birth. So, I gave them all to my cousins.

Recently, I visited Ferragamo boutique again supposedly to buy a tie (turtle tie for my husband) and a pair of cufflinks. But instead, I brought home these shoes! LOL!! Women can never stay "focused" when it comes to shopping. We always get "carried away"....hehe!

I have been wanting a pair of Varina flats since this style was first released a few years back. I finally pulled the trigger and got myself 2 shocking colors. I love these patents leathers! Yummy yummy!

1st Pair: Fuchsia/Candy pink patent "Varina" flats with gunmetal hw
(got them on sale here in Hong Kong Ferragamo boutique)

Quick modeling pictures....

2nd Pair: Coral/orange patent "Varina" flats with silver hw
( US$157.90 from Saks!!!! How cheap can that be??!! This color was released in 2008 and the one this pair I got is the last pair and only size (my size, Yay!!!) left in the company. I was lucky to get them at such a bargain "unbelievable" price. It feels like Cinderella..LOL!)

Quick modeling pictures....

3rd Pair: Metallic "blush"/champagne "Ribes2" open toe pumps with kitten heels
(got them on sale here in Hong Kong Ferragamo boutique. I love this special champagne color because it's not always easy to find such color. )

It looks more lavendar/gray in these pictures, but in real life, it's more pinkish)

Quick modeling pictures..

4th Pair: Nude with brush effect "Mia" open-toe pumps with wooden heels (US$344.90 on sale from Nordstrom)

Love the blackish brush effect on the nude leather....

And I'm loving this wooden heel (I am in love with all sorts of wooden heels...hehe..don't know why. :P)

Quick modeling picture....

I really love the silhouette of these pumps

5th Pair: Taupe "Metz" peeptoe pumps with wooden platform and special "cage" heels (got them on sale here in Hong Kong Ferragamo boutique)

I love this special designed heels with the "cage" effect!

Not to mention the black jewel in the middle of the front bow....love it!

Quick modeling picture...

And finally, the group picture of my new Ferragamo family!

That's all folks! Hope you like them!

Which "Heart" to choose?

I am the typical girl who likes things with hearts, bows/ribbons and ruffles. So, whenever Chanel releases accessories with hearts or bows, I'm all over it.

These 3 necklaces from the Fall/Winter 2009 (Act 1) collection is no exception. This collection is called "Sublime Hearts". The heart shapes in this collection are all with different designs.

I "must" buy 1 from this collection. So which one will it be? Which one will you vote for?

**********************************************************************************
This one is a choker with black beads and white pearls, with a heart-shaped pendant made up of 3 CC logos (Price: US$990)

This one is a 16-inch necklace with a little small pearl in the middle of the strand. The heart-shaped pendant design is more complicated than the 1st one and a bit bigger. (US$1,080)

This last one is the most expensive one. It's a very long necklace with black beads and white pearls and the heart pendant is the most complicated among these 3. From my experience, I think the price of this one will be around US$1800 to US$2000.

Well, since I've already bought a very expensive piece of costume jewelery from Chanel Prefall collection (which is almost the same price as a Chanel 2.55 flap bag and the only most expensive piece of Chanel costume jewelery I own), I plan to buy a less expensive piece from this collection. So, I won't choose the 3rd complicated long necklace one above. Which one will it be among the first 2 then? Hehehe.....I am really hopeless when it comes to Chanel. :P
