My 2 new Louboutin's .....Chanel and Louboutin are just perfect together! :D

Hi gals,

As promised, here are my newly arrived Louboutin's. Now I have a total of 17 pairs of Louboutin in my collection. Pretty good for a newbie...hehehehehe! And I'm contented with my collection so far. I'll find some time to take picture of my complete Louboutin collection in the near future.

But for now, here are my newest additions:

1. New Simple Patent Metallic Red 120mm Pumps

I've actually tried on this exact pair of pumps when I was in Paris but didn't buy them since my DH was so pissed with the service there. Well, after the great service he had at Hermes, nothing can really compete. Hahahahaha! Anyway, I still couldn't get them out of my mind so I ordered them finally. I love the deep burgundy-red with the nice metallic finish. It's just so cool with black pants and jeans, and skirts with a pair of matte black tights if you have great legs.

BTW, I didn't really pay attention to "New Simple" style before because it used to have the 90mm heels only and I find that the silhouette is not that "sexy". But when I tried on these 120mm heels, same style, I'm quite amazed that the shoes are so "hot"!! I even prefer them to my Simple and Ron Ron (both without platform) coz it's actually more comfortable to wear in 120mm platform as compared to the 100mm/85mm without platform. Haha...I'm so tempted to buy the matte gray and metallic aubergine colors too for the New Simple 120mm, but I must not. :P

2. Resort Collection: No Prive Multicolor-Nude Mini Fine Glitters Peeptoe Slingbacks with Gold 120mm Heels
- this is love at first sight!!! It's from the new Resort collection and just arrived recently. There was a glitter No Prive from the fall collection as well (one is silver/anthracite glitters w/ silver heels and the other is gold glitters w/ gold heels), but I find that the grains of the glitters are too rough and big, and it's monotone. But for this one, the grains of the glitters are really mini and smooth, and it's sort of a multicolor-platinum-nude shade which is so special with the gold heels! Love it instantly so I ordered them as I have been wanting a pair of glitter CLs since I fell in love with the brand. They are just PERFECT!!!!

Hope you like my newest additions! :D

Actually, I have a pair of similar Louboutin slingback with gold heels. It's the "So Private" black nappa peeptoe slingbacks with platform and golden heels. Here are some pictures for comparison with the above "No Prive". "So Private" has thicker platform than "No Prive", but both are really comfortable. I wear the same size for both styles. Also, my black "So Private" are with matte gold heels, while my new "No Prive" glitters have shiny gold heels. :P

And some modeling pictures I took before wearing the above CL shoes (posted them on tPF in my August Mega Reveal thread BTW). I was wearing:

TOP:
- Bottom Layer ==> Black camisole w/ lace neckline (no brand - bought from a local HK shop)
- Top Layer ==> "Bread n Butter" Magenta mixed fabric satin/jersey "cape-like" top

BOTTOM:
- Walter Ma black cropped sarouel/harem pants w/ garter hem and stitch details at bottom

BAG:
- Chanel 2009 Prefall Paris-Moscou limited edition "2.55 MOSCOU" Arabesque lace effect gold/burgundy bag in "226" 28cm size w/ dangling cage w/ pearls adornment

SHOES:
- Christian Louboutin "So Private" black calf platform peeptoe slingbacks w/ matte gold heels

ACCESSORIES:
- Earrings: Chanel 2009 Prefall Paris-Moscou "Golden Vine" dangling pearl earrings
- Necklace (layered effect):
(a) Chanel 2009 Prefall Paris-Moscou "Russian Pearls" multi CC long pearl necklace
(b) Chanel 2009 Prefall Paris-Moscou "Golden Vine" long pearl necklace w/ large pearl pendant
- Sunglasses: Tom Ford "Jaquelin" black frame w/ brown gradient lens and orange rim

Close-Up of my Chanel bag....it's by far my favourite Chanel bag!! It's just so unique and rare!

Love the "pearl cage" details...

And the lace effect, special chain and hardware.....

A Couple of My New Shoes.....:D

Hi gals!

I promised to post pictures of a couple of my "newly bought" shoes. Some were bought in Paris when I was there in September, a couple in Hong Kong and Manila. I didn't have time to take pictures of my little shoes loot since I was moving home and lots have happened.

So, here they are now...

1. Guiseppe Zanotti Black Booties with Zipper Details
(I have loved this pair of boots since I tried them on locally at Lane Crawford. I saw them in Guiseppe Zanotti boutique at Rue St. Honore in Paris, and I must have them!! LOL!!)

2. Guiseppe Zanotti Purplish-Electric Blue Peeptoe Booties
(I really love the special cutting of this booties. Reminds me of Tulips..hehe! And the color is just to die for!! The color in real life is much more purplish than you see from these pix. :D)

3. Miu Miu Bow Platform Peeptoes in Washed/Brushed Nude-Pinkish Taupe Lambskin Leather
(It was love at first sight when I saw these in Hong Kong before I left for Paris! I love bows and peeptoes very much! I own so many different pairs of shoes with all sorts of bows...hehe! I esp. love the special color of this pair, since it feels so vintage. So hard to find this color where you can see different color patches around the shoes. So "brushed-effect"! And I was extremely happy to get it when it was the only one around town in my size. I'm lucky! Hehe! And surprisingly, it's comfy to walk on even though it's almost 5" in height coz the platform is thick enough. :D)

4. Stella Luna electric/cobalt blue Satin Peeptoes with Jewel Details
(I have loved this pair of Stella Luna the first time I saw the pictures from my tPF friend Charm. So, she hunted it down for me in Manila and helped me buy it! I finally got them when I met with Charm and they are just so perfect! :D)

The heels are in darker metallic patent navy color for contrast against the satin material....

Love the jewel details!!

5. Stella Luna black Gladiator platform Sandals
(When I found out that I don't really have a pair of black gladiator sandals (well, I've got all sorts of colors but not black...how weird is that! LOL!), I remember seeing this from Rachel and she said it's comfortable. So, I asked my friend Charm to help me look for them in Manila and this was the last pair in my size! I'm lucky again! I tried them on when Charm gave them to me in Manila and they are really comfortable. Thanks Charm!!! :D)

So, that's it for my previous shoe purchases. Well, I still have 2 pairs of Louboutin coming from Paris...so I'll reveal them when I get them. :D

And I want to share some belated Halloween pictures of my Mason. It's his first Halloween celebration at school (he goes to 2 schools hence 2 outfits), so it's really special to us. Thanks to Charm for lending one of her son's Carl's outfits! Hehehehe! Hope you enjoy the pix!

VAMPIRE OUTFIT...

Mason and his cute little classmate in her adorable witch outfit...

Mason's mischievous smile....(after doing something naughty...LOL!)

Love the fingers and the pumpkin paint on Mason's hand...

So that's all folks for now. I'll post pictures during the weekend for my ensembles. I hope I will be able to wear heels soon as my knees haven't completely recovered yet, but I really want to incorporate some of my new shoes above with my ensembles. :D

Have a nice day!

Mia

A Series of Unfortunate Events......and An Inspiration!

Hi Gals!!

Still remember me???!! How is everyone? You must be wondering why I am missing!!

Well, right after our Manila trip, I broke my left knee and my right ankle since I was too concentrated in looking at my son riding his bike that I didn't see a huge "dent" in front of me when I was walking. So, voila!! I fell really hard and I couldn't walk since then. I had to go to the Chinese doctor every day to heal my feet. I am better now but my knees are still swollen. Anyway, good that I can walk now.

And then, after my "fall", 2 days ago, I had my "tooth accident". I had a root canal done on one of my molar teeth before I left for Paris last month. I was suppose to go back to the dentist to have it "crowned". However, 2 days ago, my tooth broke into half when I was brushing my teeth!!! Literally half where the tooth part near my cheek is ok, but the other half near my tongue was moving and you can really see the crack in the middle and it was soooooo painful!!

So, I went to the dentist immediately and I am so pissed that she had no choice but to pull out the tooth completely. :( After spending a fortune on my root canal, I still loose my tooth!! If I've known that this would happen, I would have saved that money to buy something else!! LOL!!! But it was not an easy tooth extraction as the dentist had to do a small operation with lots of anesthesia and cut out my gums to pull out the tooth. So now, my left cheek is swollen like my left knees and the wound is still so painful. I have to take 1 week of antibiotics and also pain killers. And I can't eat anything solid. Now I share my son's congee!!!

So that's what I'm up to now. But tell you what. Since I can't carry my son now and I wasn't able to accompany my son to school when I broke my legs, I have cleaned up so many things at home, and I realized something.......that I REALLY REALLY HAVE TOO MANY CLOTHES THAT I CAN ACTUALLY OPEN 1 or 2 ZARA STORES!!!

Now, that inspired me to SHOP IN MY OWN CLOSET!! As my DH and my mom always say, even by the time I'm old and dying, I still won't be able to wear all of my clothes even if I change 2 or 3 outfits every day!! So, that explains how many clothes I have!!! LOL!!! I have so many clothes that I still haven't worn yet!! Maybe I should do a GIVEAWAY to you gals for the clothes I haven't worn and won't wear anymore. What do you think?

Aside from clothes, I have too many bags (mostly Chanel), shoes, costume jeweleries, scarves, socks, tights, bras/panties and cosmetics/make-up items too!! LOL!! I am really a "collector" of anything a woman needs. Bad bad bad!! With so many varieties of clothes and accessories that I have which can compare to Zara store, I'm really inspired to shop in my own closet and see how long I can survive. I think it forces me to wear EVERYTHING in my collection. I will post outfits I wore from my closet every week. I'll start next weekend when my cheek is not swollen. :P

Hope you're with me on this. I'm ready for the challenge on myself, and I think my DH will be more than happy about this as I won't take up more and more of his closet space! LOL! Good luck to me! :D

Anyway, just to share with you some pictures I've taken when I was in Manila (before all the unfortunate events that happened to me). I met with my tPF friend Charmaine in Manila and both our families had lunch at Edsa Shangri-La Hotel. Her son is so handsome and her daughter is soooo cute!!

** Just click on the pictures to enlarge them**

Here's me with my "soon-to-be-2-yr.old" Mason..

(I'm wearing a red tiered ruffle top in jersey, indigo wide-leg flared bottom jeans, Chanel "Golden Vine" pearl earrings, Chanel "Russian Pearls" long pearl necklace (worn with double strands), Chanel "Moujik" beige/gold flap and also Marni platform sandals. Mason is wearing Comme Ca (a Japanese brand) navy/white striped collared shirt with H&M white pants. :D)

Charm and Carl (her son) and me! Charm is a true Filipina beauty!!

Charm and cutie-pie Cadee (her 10-month old daughter); me and Mason

Mason strolling around the pool area and doing his various "poses"...LOL! He loves wearing his sunnies so suddenly!!

And this is me and my cousin's daughter.....she's soooo chubby and I want to bite her cheeks!! LOL!

Mason again...so happy running around my grandpa's home..

It was Mason's first airplane trip so I was super nervous to take him on the plane!! He's basically OK on the plane, except that he will cry when he's forced to wear the seat belt. He detests anything which will prevent him from moving around (so he doesn't use car seats at all!!). The most difficult times to control him are during take off and landing as these are the "must-wear-seat-belts" moments. But overall, I'm really proud of my son.
I'll be posting some of my new purchases (before my "Shop-in-my-Own-Closet Resolution") as well during the weekend.

Have a nice week ahead!

Cheers,
Mia

Greetings from Paris!

Hello everyone!! Bonjour!!

I'm now in Paris and I'm going back to Hong Kong tomorrow afternoon. Just want to drop by and say "hi" to all of you.

Anyway, I had the most amazing shopping experience in Hermes here and I can't contain my excitement!! My husband went crazy in Hermes too and got himself a bunch of stuff! LOL!! We were served by 2 most amazing SAs at the same time (one took care of my husband and one took care of me...hehe) and we are so happy that we got all that we want!

I'll post my Hermes and Chanel loot when I come back (a lot of orange boxes and black & white boxes in my luggage....hahahaha!). We brought 4 luggages in total but I don't think they are enough. Crossing my fingers now hoping that our luggage won't be overweight. This is going to be my last splurge for this year and the 1st half of next year. Will be a good girl for a while. :D

So, stay tuned for the pix, pals! See you soon!

Bisous (kisses),
Mia

Winter Wool Coat...which one?

I'm sorry to be M.I.A. as I'm busy packing for my house move. I don't have much time left to pack after I come back from Paris, so I'm doing as much packing as I can now before I leave for Paris next Tuesday. I'm really so exhausted!! Not to mention taking my son to school and accompanying him inside the classroom everyday. I really think I deserve my short break!! LOL!

Anyway, I tend to buy a new wool coat every fall/winter...and I'm now thinking about which one to buy this year...hopefully buy it from Paris as I think it will be cheaper there.

I tried on these 3 coats last month (1 from Stella McCartney and 2 from Sonia Rykiel), and I can't make up my mind at all!! I love coats which are classic enough but with some sort of details / with a twist. So, I've selected these 3 coats...all special in their own unique ways. If you were me, which one will you choose? I have all sorts of wool coats in my wardrobe, so it doesn't really matter what I already have.....

1. Stella McCartney Black Long Wool Coat with Drape Pleats at the Back (Around US$2300)
==> I originally thought that the drape pleats will make my hips look bigger, but when I tried it on, it fits so well and that drape pleats at the back is really cool and chic! Not at all bulky or clumsy. You can't even see the drape from the front.....but when you look sideways and at the back, the "drama" is there!
** It doesn't look too good in the pictures, but it looks really good when tried on...hehe.

2. Sonia Rykiel Navy Double-Breasted Wool Coat with asymmetric Mongolian wool trim (Around US$2000)
==> the fluffy mongolian wool "collar"/trim is detachable. Also, the shoulders are quite "architectural" as it's not really flat and squarish, but a bit like "Balmain" exaggerated shoulders except that it's not THAT exaggerated. I totally love the "luxurious" and uptown look of this coat. This has the shortest length among the 3.
(You can also see this coat from net-a-porter below in black color:
http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/47023)

3. Sonia Rykiel Black Long Wool Coat with flare "bell" sleeves (Around US$2000)
==> love the "kimono" look of this coat, esp. the special flare "bell" sleeves that were used. The shoulders are also the exaggerated type like Balmain (but not too much). Oh...that "Lips" belt looks so cute too on this coat (too bad it's sold separately...). Instant "Parisien" chic look....!

I welcome your votes! Hehehehe!

Cheers,
Mia

What a 21-month old toddler can do.....

I am having so much fun with my son these days as he's growing up so much. Even though I am very exhausted with the house move and packing and stuff, just seeing my son there keeps me happy and full of energy again!!

Not sure if it's normal or not, but my son can do the following things which I'm so amazed!!
1. Count 1 to 100 in Mandarin and English
==> I basically choose a number randomly and then he can tell me what number that is in both languages.

2. Read most of the words which I have showed him before in books or flash cards

3. Know January to December in both English and Mandarin

==> again, he can just pronounce every word and also put January to December in order.

4. Memorize telephone number of my in-laws and and call them by himself

==> he saw the phone beside me the other day and then he picked it up, pressed the numbers and then voila! My in laws answered the phone and my son said to my father-in-law.."Hello, how are you today?" I'm so shocked coz I didn't know he memorized the phone number already as we just told him the phone number twice before!

5. Put back the toys to their original places after playing with them

6. Get a cloth to wipe the table when it is wet

==> he does this automatically....maybe it's because of the Montessori training at school. I'm so pleased!!

7. Sing songs which he has heard before in his classes

==> he actually memorized the lyrics and was singing (although his voice was "monotone")...but....totally cute when hearing him "sing"!

8. Write simple Chinese characters like 1, 2, 3
(一,二, 三, 天王,月 etc).

9. Identify basic colors and shapes

==> he is very fast to finish all sorts of shape sorters with different sizes (he recently finished 4 different blocks of Montessori sorters within 10 minutes (including different heights and size of cylinders all by himself without help.)

10. Know all his alphabets from A to Z
in both English and French
==> I didn't know he knows the alphabets in French coz I only taught him 3 or 4 times a long time ago....recently he spit out all the alphabets in French and I am shocked once again!!
==> he can even type out the alphabets in order using the laptop keyboard and notepad application. And memorize some of the simple Chinese pinyin I taught him and type Chinese on the computer.

11. Know how to "instruct" people to do things for him with simple words

12. Pronounce the words that we are saying and actually remembering them
(even if the word is 3 or more syllables like "container", "hippopotamus", "parallelogram")

13. Please mommy
==> sometimes, when I dress up, he will say "Mommy sexy"...LOL!!
==> there were a couple of times when I wear my shoes he said "nice shoes"!! It made my day! Hahahahah!

I'm truly amazed on what a toddler can do. It's the age of exploration. The age where they start to reason and think. My son gives me so much joy because I learn something new everyday. Kids are really a blessing to all of us parents, even though they drain out all our energies! LOL!! But in the end, it's all worth it!

My new Chanel shoes.....

I promised myself to at least post some pictures of my Chanel reveal before I leave for Paris for those who didn't get a chance to see my reveal on tPF.

So, here are the group shots of the 14 pairs of Chanel shoes I've bought the past few months!
- 2 pairs of peeptoe heels
- 3 pairs of pumps
- 4 pairs of high-heeled sandals
- 4 pairs of ballerina flats
- 1 pair of thongs

** Click on the pictures to enlarge**

Now I'm very contented with my Chanel shoes collection which comprise of 15 pairs of flats and heels (I also have a pair of mary jane flats in dark fuchsia with Chanel charms which I haven't posted here because it was a past year purchase). Maybe I'll add a pair or 2 every now and then, but won't splurge as crazy as I did the past months. LOL!! I'll see if I can score a pair of Chanel tweed pumps or booties when I'm in Paris. I'm also eyeing a pair of Chanel "2-Tone Around" platinum-black karung platform slingback. :P

Hahaha.....a woman can never have enough shoes!! But I'll go slowly this time....LOL!

Have a nice weekend everyone!
