Is this a skirt? A Poncho? Or a Tube Top? :D

Hi dears,

It's been a hectic week for me because my son was sick. He is always sick when there is a drastic weather change.  :(  He had a throat infection which made his temperature going up and down for a couple of days.  Anyway, he is better now but still coughing and having running nose.  At least, it's better than having a fever.  I didn't let him take any antibiotics this time.  I want him to fight/outgrow the virus/bacteria using his own immune system.  Not sure if it's good or bad, but I just don't like anti-biotics on kids.

Anyway, back to fashion.  I would like to share my ODJ with you.....an interesting piece which I bought last year but totally forgotten about it until I was searching for something bright to wear.

So here you go.....hope you like it!

Oh, and stay tuned for my next GIVEAWAY......:D  Something related to "Alice in Wonderland" and also another piece which I think you will like.

ODJ:
*****************************************************
TOP:
- Bottom Layer==> Earth Music & Ecology grayish-taupe turtle neck tunic with lace hem
- Middle Layer==>  b+ab bright orange with gold vertical stripes and ruffles skirt (worn as top and poncho)
- Top Layer==> Kookai cream color faux fur jacket with wide sleeves

BOTTOM:
- Mango dark indigo denim wide leg pants

BAG:
- Chanel 2006 limited edition Bronze Python classic medium flap with silver hw and tassel

SHOES:
- French Connection dark gold strappy high heel sandals (bought from ASOS.com)

ACCESSORIES:
- Necklace: Multicolor "chinese-style" painted large beads necklace with antique rusty chain (a Christmas gift from my friend Kat which she bought from Manila)
Earrings: Gold cut out hoop earrings (bought from a local shop ages ago)
- Socks: H&M black gold glitter knee-high socks
- Sunglasses: Chloe "Litchi" CL2161 seashell/black acetate oversized sunglasses with brown gradient lens

*****************************************************
So, this is the special piece which I found in my wardrobe untouched....hehehe!
Yes, this is a bright orange skirt actually!  But I wear it as a poncho which is the style I like best!

I layered a longer tunic type of turtle neck coz the poncho is obviously too short...and I wanted some flare at the bottom...hehe!

And I also tried to wear it as a tube top....:P
But it's so cold here.....so I layer it with this cream color Kookai faux fur jacket which I bought in Paris last year.....it's sooo warm!!

Side view..
(you can see the cutting of the fur jacket....it's shorter at the back and longer in front...love it as it is a nice contrast to my poncho/top which is longer at the back and shorter in front)

Close-Up shot...

And who said you can't wear sandals during winters?!!  Yes you can!  Just wear it with socks!  Hehehe!

And my love.....one of my fave bags in my collection!!  Chanel bronze python medium classic with tassel!

And I would like to esp. thank my friend Kat for this thoughtful Christmas gift she gave me last year.  I am sooo in love with this necklace!  It's such a cute accessory due to the details and multicolor beads.  Very original which she bought from Manila.  Thank you so much KAT!!!  Muwah!!

Close-Up shots....
(see the paintings on the beads)

Love the oriental vibe so much!!

Last but not least, a close-up shot of my gold earrings.  I have totally forgotten about these earrings which I believe I bought them like 4 years ago!!  LOL!
(I tell you, my closet is like a treasure hunt...hahahahah...you'll never know what's in there!  LOL!)

That's all folks for today!  Hope you like the pix.

Next post will be about my GIVEAWAY..:D  Stay tuned!

Cheers,
Mia

  1. Hi, dear Mia!
I know how you feel!My baby is normally very healthy and it's been 2 weeks she's ill non-stop!(((
The same sympthoms, as your son!I gave the antibiotics the first time, but didnt do the second (for the same reasons you didnt)!
Anyway, back to fashion (as you said), I love your ensemble very much! And this bag is stunning (never seen anything like this before)!
How do you like your new Balenciaga, btw?

    Big kisses from France :)))

  2. Dear, I love my Balenciaga so much! Hahahahaha! Can you believe I found that color and hw combo? It's like a miracle!! It's all the way from Cannes!!

I really feel for you and your baby. They say kids' immune system is worst during 2 to 4 years old. After 4, they outgrow it and will be healthy. So, I guess we're doing the right thing to let them outgrow the germs naturally as antibiotics actually weakens their immune system. So, how's your baby now? I hope she feels better. You know, me too, it's like a 2 week cycle for my son - 1 week sick, 1 week ok, then 1 week sick again, then 1 week ok. Poor kids. :(

Anyway, back to fashion, thanks so much for your compliments! Yes this Chanel bag is a hard search for me. I actually bought it from my uncle's friend's wife in 2008!! LOL!! Pure coincidence that I was looking for this bag as I was in a python craze that time, and the wife was wanting to let go of this bag. This Chanel bag was actually released way back in 2006 and it's so hard to find it now.

BTW, it's Chanel's F/W 2010 fashion show today!! Gosh....did you see those tweed clog-type boots? Amazing!!! I wish they make the shaft wider so I can buy! Totally in love of those tweed boots! It's on my buy list this winter...hahahahhaha!

    Bisous,
    Mia

  15. Hi, mia:
I didn't left comment here since it is more fun to check out the stuff on Purseblog of yours. (sorry that I didn't let comments there neither.)

I was thinking if we live closer, we probably would save a lot of money just by sharing shoes together... I guess I can wear bigger shoes w/ shoe pat underneath then. haha..
