My "Studs" Affair with Valentino & Givenchy!

Hi gals,

Sorry for being silent for a few days...my grandfather passed away and I had to go back to Manila for his funeral.  It was a sudden unexpected death so a lot has been happening and it's pretty hectic.  Anyway, everything's back to normal now so I'm going to continue blogging.  Sometimes, blogging is a nice way to keep my mind off some things.....

So, anyone of you love studs?  I think there's a "rocker" in me which connects me to clothes and shoes and belts with studs.  I have been wanting some shoes with studs for a long time, but I want something special.  Not the usual round studs.

Guess what I've found!!! I'm so in loooooove!  I'm gonna "rock" them soon with some outfits!  Stay tuned!   Hope you like my new buys!

1. Givenchy Black printed anaconda leather ankle boots

But where are the studs????

Can you see some in the front??

See some more studs?  They are all at the back!

The studs are made of different shapes and sizes...which is why I love this pair a lot!
Really love the embossed python effect leather....

2. Givenchy Beige printed anaconda leather/lambskin studded flats

This is the from the same collection as the black booties above.  I guess I'm just really so in love with these studs that I need to buy another style!

There are 2 versions for this pair of flats.  1 version is all leather in beige or black, another version is my version which is partly snake embossed and partly lambskin.  I like my combo leather version more since it's more interesting.

This pair is with gold studs which is different from the silver studs on my booties.....justified? LOL!

3. Givenchy Mint Green printed anaconda leather/lambskin studded flats

Now now now......same shoes huh?!!  Oh well, I don't have any mint green/baby blue colors in my shoe collection.....and it's really a fresh lovely color.  So why not?  :P

These flats are really comfy with a little heel at the back...

I'm so in love with this color!  Perfect for white or gray or any pastel color outfit!

Some family pictures of my "Givenchy Studs Trio"!

4. Valentino ivory/nude Argentina Tegu lizard skin pointed toe kitten heel with studded straps

I have been in love with this Valentino runway heels for ages since I saw them first on the runway pix!!!

I can't tell you how lucky I am to land on this pair!!!!  It's the only pair in my size in Hong Kong!!!  I love this lizard skin so much!

This studs collection has several versions: (a) low kitten heel version with 3 straps, (b) higher 100mm heel version with 2 straps, (c) flats version with T-strap, (d) flats version without straps.  I find that this lower kitten heel version with 3 straps is the most comfortable heels!!

I love that the studs are square shaped and pointed and gold!!!

I'm a "toe cleavage" kind of gal coz I don't have cleavage on my boobs!  LOL!  So I can only have cleavage on my toes!  Hahahahahha!

Love the nude straps coz they actually elongates the legs....

5. Valentino patent nude pointed toe flats with black studded straps

Black straps this time....and flats!!!  With different leather!  Justified again! :P
This nude is very nice...the picture here doesn't do the justification.  It's the perfect nude color like the CL patent nude.

There are several colors for this flats: like all matte leather nude, red with nude straps, black patent with nude straps, and this pair of patent nude with black straps..

I chose this black straps because it gives more of the rocker-chic vibe as compared to the nude straps which is more lady-like.  This pair is perfect with tight leather pants or leggings.

Hope you enjoy my "studs affair".  Time to rock!

Cheers,
Mia

Yellow + Gray....Love this color block!

Hi Gals,

I am very much of a color person, and I love playing with colors very much.  I like matching colors in different ways - tone on tone, big color contrasts, warm colors mixed with cool colors etc.....it's really fun!!  There are some colors which just really go well with each other after experimenting with them.  Like black + white, red + camel/beige, navy/purple + yellow, orange + brown, pale dusty pink + olive/khaki, fuchsia + gray etc....the list goes on!

Recently, I just realized that I love matching the yellow color with gray.  It's like a glimpse of the sun from a cloudy sky.....:P  See for yourself!  Yay or nay?

Wore this outfit to a friend's daughter's birthday party....yellow popping out...hehe!
